Mid Year Reset - Part 2

Firstly, I want to start by saying thank you! I have had an overwhelming response in my dms and emails from you all after I shared part 1 of this blog and I guess it really makes me realise how many of us often have similar feelings and stages of our life where we feel like we need a reset and I am so glad that I decided to open up and share my story with you.

So today in part 2, as we are officially half way through the year, I wanted to share a guide on how we can reset ourselves ready for the second half of the year.

January is filled with big promises, plans and goals and by this stage in the year, many of us find we have fallen off balance with things, lost motivation and kind of feel lost and overwhelmed. If this sounds like you, I have the perfect solution - The Mid Year Reset.

The aim of this reset is a simple process that will help you start fresh and feel renewed with either a new or tweaked plan that will remind you of your skin desires and I really hope that this will motivate you to revisit those goals and restart your plan for the next 6 months.

Before we dive into the skin goals, I want you to check in with your mindset and your energy. I have learnt that wellness really is the key to making everything else tick along and so that is where I want you to begin with.

Protecting your energy is so important and we often don't notice all the little things that add up that can either boost or drain your energy. Setting boundaries, building healthy habits and giving ourselves space and time is how you can ensure you have plenty of energy in the bank to show up as your best self.

Below I have compiled a list of energy givers and takers..

Be mindful of this list and take note especially when you are not feeling your best.

Next, I would like to invite you to give my simple wellness challenge a go. Try a different task each day to help work on your overall wellness.

When your energy is recharged and your wellness is taken care of, you are ready to revisit your skin goals.

"A goal without a plan is just a dream"

- Unknown

My job is to help you achieve the skin of your dreams BUT, first we need a plan!

Make yourself a cup of your favourite drink, find somewhere quiet and get some paper and work through the questions below..

  • Think about how you have spent the first half of the year? Did you achieve any of the goals you set in January? Remember to be kind to yourself and be proud of any changes you have done so far. What didn't you do so well at? eg. Have you got lazy with your home routine or have you not taken your supplements daily? This exercise isn't about making you feel bad but it is essential to know what we need to focus on next.

  • Have your skin goals changed now from when we started the year? Maybe you have already achieved something and now want to tackle something else? Maybe another concern has taken over the previous concern? Maybe your goal is to maintain what you have achieved?

  • Set your specific number 1 skin goal for the next 6 months? Get really clear here. Saying things like "look younger" is not specific enough! How do you want to look younger? eg. Is it reduce lines or wrinkles? If so specifically where are these wrinkles?

  • What is your why? Without a good enough reason to achieve your goal, I simply believe you won't. What would it really mean to you to achieve 'x' goal? How would it make you feel? Why do you want to achieve 'x'? Get really deep here.

  • Commit! I mean really commit! In order to achieve anything in life, we need to be dedicated and committed to making it become a reality. Once you feel you are fully ready to commit, it's time to make an action plan! The best way to do this is to book a skin analysis appointment or a skin review if you are an existing client. This gives us an opportunity to sit down together, discuss the specific goal(s) and assess the skin to see exactly what steps are involved. So many people have concerns they would like to address on their skin but have no idea where to start so waste time and money on the wrong things making them feel frustrated and fed up. If you work with a qualified skin professional like myself, I can create you a bespoke, unique plan that targets you as an individual, works with your lifestyle and budget to help work towards achieving your dream skin.

If you have any questions on this please reach out to me by email at sarahjohnsonfacialist@outlook.com or book your skin analysis or existing client review via the website www.sarahjohnsonfacialist.com
