Your Facial Aftercare Advice

Updated: Apr 16

You've just enjoyed your luxury bespoke facial experience and I am confident you are feeling relaxed and looking radiant. However, your treatment doesn't just end when you leave the heated bed!

Taking care of your skin post-facial is just as important as the treatment itself and to ensure you maximise the benefits and prolong your results, it's essential to maintain the health and radiance of your skin with proper aftercare.

To guide you on this next stage of your facial experience, here's a list of aftercare advice to keep your skin looking its best.

Avoid Makeup

  - Skip heavy makeup for the rest of the day following your facial to allow your skin to breathe and recover. (Leave for 24-48 hours after Microneedling)

 - If you must wear makeup, opt for mineral-based or non-comedogenic formulas to minimise the risk of clogged pores.

Avoid Exfoliation

- Avoid harsh scrubbing or exfoliation for at least 72 hours post-treatment to prevent irritation. (Wait 7 days if you have had a Skin Peel)

Stay Hydrated

   - Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin from the inside out and support its natural healing process.

   - Aim for at least 2L of water per day to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.

Sun Protection

- Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 every morning, even if you're indoors.

- Protecting your skin from UV radiation is essential to prevent sun damage and premature aging.

Hands Off

- Resist the urge to touch or pick at your skin, as this can introduce bacteria and cause irritation or breakouts.

- Let your skin heal naturally and avoid unnecessary friction or pressure on treated areas.

Avoid Heat

- Steer clear of hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or activities that may cause excessive sweating for 24-48 hours post-facial.

- Heat and sweat can exacerbate inflammation and compromise your skin's recovery.

Be Gentle

- Handle your skin with care, especially when cleansing or applying skincare products.

- Use light, upward motions and avoid tugging or pulling on delicate skin around the eyes or mouth.

Follow Instructions

- If you have been provided with specific post-facial instructions or recommended products, follow them diligently.

- These guidelines are tailored to your skin's needs and will help optimize your results.

Listen to Your Skin

- Pay attention to how your skin feels and reacts in the days following your facial.

- If you experience any unusual redness, irritation, or discomfort, contact me for guidance.

By following these aftercare tips, you can prolong the benefits of your facial treatment and maintain a healthy, radiant complexion. Remember, consistency is key when it comes to skincare, so make these practices a part of your daily routine for optimal results.
