What is Microcurrent?

Microcurrent facial is an anti-ageing treatment so successful, it's been dubbed as the 'Non Surgical Face Lift'

Microcurrent therapy utilizes a low grade electrical current to retrain your facial muscles. Think of it as a gym membership for your face!

Microcurrent encourages the production of ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) which leads to the creation and stimulation of structural proteins like elastin and collagen. Collagen is the main protein that your body uses to build muscle. Hence why this facial functions as a workout for your face. Furthermore, the non-invasive treatment triggers the body’s natural signals which induce tissue repair.

This causes a release of natural skin enhancement chemicals at a cellular level. As a result, damaged skin starts to repair and the production of collagen is stimulated.

The origins of microcurrent are medical. The current was used to stimulate soft tissue and muscle damage from injury or illness for example, Bells Palsy, Strokes, torn ligaments. This success led to a pioneering doctor to apply current cosmetically to correct sagging muscles, rejuvenate the skin tissue and refine lines and wrinkles.

Microcurrent is suitable for all ages, as the treatment is as much preventative as it is corrective.
